Northstone has today, 24 May 2019, submitted a plot substitutions application to Bolton Council for the first 19 units at Roscoe’s Farm, Westhoughton.

As background, planning permission for 106 new homes at this site was initially received by Jones Homes in 2016. Northstone subsequently purchased the site with an agreement that the planning conditions relating to the Jones Homes consent were discharged. Having now discharged those conditions, preparatory work has begun on site and an application for the first 19 units of Northstone’s new scheme has been submitted to allow work to begin seamlessly.

A detailed planning application for the remainder of the site will be brought forward in due course, at which time the public will be invited to have its say.

"Northstone is delighted to be bringing forward proposals for new homes in Westhoughton. These 19 units will be the first houses built under the Northstone brand, which we believe will set a new benchmark for residential development across the Region."

"Our approach to design and placemaking will make for a truly unique development at Roscoe’s Farm, and we look forward to starting work as soon as possible. This application marks the beginning of our involvement with this site and a revised proposal for the remainder of the site will be unveiled in the coming weeks. We look forward to working with the local community and stakeholders in Westhoughton as the plans progress."
